View Books Introduces the "driver task" as related to the highway transportation system and factors that influences performance ability. Prepares students so they may be eligible to take certification exams for driving school instructors in both public and private schools. Please check college catalog for Pre-Requisites.   Description: Foundations of Traffic Safety is the first of two courses required by the Virginia Department of Education teacher licensure to add an endorsement in driver education to the Virginia teaching license. Students are required to also complete the second course in order to become licensed. After successful completion of both courses, students will be required to pass a competency exam.
